Integrate Proxy Card Readers and Keypads into your System Master

Integrated Proxy Card Readers

An Advanced Alarm Monitoring Master Can Provide Building Access Control Functions

The T/Mon NOC collects information from a wide variety of equipment, including building access control devices, and displays the status of your entire network of sites in one uniform, easy-to-use interface. You can monitor any type of alarm or access event with the T/Mon NOC.

Your entire database of user profiles can be maintained within your T/Mon NOC database. With space for up to 1,200 unique profiles, you can assign a unique set of access parameters for every employee and outside contractor that has access to your site.

Remotes Provide the Core of a Fault-Tolerant Access System

These access profiles will also be maintained within DPS remotes such as the NetGuardian 832A. This means that every user profile will be maintained in two databases, preventing you from getting locked out of your site in a communication loss. This also allows operators to quickly update profiles across the system, adding or removing users from every access point with just one adjustment at the master station.

Advanced Access Devices Give You Site Security Locks and Keys Can't

DPS can provide your company with a complete building access system, from master to keypad. Using advanced input devices such as keypads and proxy card readers is especially important to secure your site from outside threats. With these devices, you can track every access event down to the second, knowing exactly who is coming and going from your site, even when you can't be there to watch.

The DPS Keypad is a time-tested user input device. It is designed to withstand extreme heat and cold, and the metal hood provides added security from prying eyes. The design of the system makes manipulation via the internal wiring impossible. However, even attempting to enter false key codes will lock the system and alert the regional operating center after only five failed attempts.

The proximity card reader has several advantages over other input devices. Like traditional magnetic stripe cards, proximity cards cannot be easily shared by employees- a card cannot be in two places at once. Proximity cards are also much more difficult to duplicate than magnetic-stripe cards. And unlike magnetic-stripe cards, you never have to struggle with failed swipes. You simply hold your card within a few inches of the environmentally sealed reader to gain access to the site. This is especially handy in colder climates, where you don't have to remove gloves to swipe a card or enter a key code.

Significant Cost Reductions

Consolidating all your building access controls into a T/Mon NOC monitoring system will save you money in several ways:
  • You'll eliminate substantial expenditures in the initial purchase of an additional monitoring system
  • You'll eliminate the need for extra terminals and monitoring system operators, saving your company labor and equipment costs
  • You'll easily manage all of your alarms through a single system
  • You'll track maintenance and other operations at all of your sites with the detailed historical logging of access events by T/Mon NOC

Integrated Building Access Control Saves Time, Trouble, and Money

Building access events, network alarms, and network status updates are all presented in the same display. All alarm data, regardless of source and type, can be used as input for the T/Mon NOC's automatic notification process.

This level of integration is more than a convenience. It saves time and trouble, because your monitoring staff doesn't have to search for critical information. And, because you don't need special single-application terminals to monitor different alarms, the T/Mon NOC will also save you the cost of buying extra equipment.
