Power cycling is often the answer to many device problems. But doing so manually means you have to jump in a truck and drive hours to a site just to reboot a device. PDUs allow you to remotely power cycle your gear.
While these devices are easy to find, one that supports more than 10 Amps is not. How many Amps do you need in order to power your equipment? 20 Amps? 40? 60? 100? And even if you do find a PDU that fits your amperage specs, it is likely to be quite pricey.
That's why DPS now offers a Smart Fuse Panel with up to 100 Amps. You'll be able to power & reboot just about any device remotely, saving you valuable windshield time.
DPS offers several PDU models with a variety of amperages and power outputs. Need support for dual-redundant or triple-redundant power supplies? DPS can modify or customize a PDU to fit your spec.
While legacy and proprietary protocols are quickly being replaced by new, open protocols, sometimes it just doesn't make sense to replace your functioning legacy equipment. Instead, what you need is an RTU that can also mediate legacy protocols such as Modbus RS-485.
And since this device is most likely at a remote site, it should also have the capacity to monitor site security and control door access.
That's the inspiration for the new NetMediator with BAS from DPS Telecom. This device is an RTU, protocol mediator, and door controller all in one system. The NetMediator with BAS allows you to seamlessly integrate your legacy equipment into your network, monitor your devices, and control site entry. You'll get alerts when there is an alarm and log who has accessed your site. It's a total remote site solution in one simple system.
Fiber is the future, but with most mature networks, copper is still around and not going anywhere any time soon. And unlike fiber, moisture poses a great threat to networks that still use copper. To combat this problem, telecommunication cable dryers are often used to control moisture and humidity levels and protect your copper wires. But, how do you know that the dryers are functioning properly? Do you know the exact humidity levels right now?
You need a monitoring system that can keep track of humidity levels and alert you if they get too high or if the dryer unit fails. DPS now has the perfect solution.
