The Modbus to SNMP Converter is a dedicated mediation device that will help you connect your Modbus-enabled equipment to your SNMP manager.
The Modbus to SNMP Converter device is a dedicated mediation unit. It is able to poll up to 128 Modbus registers and convert that alarm data to SNMP traps. In this way, you can connect your Modbus equipment (like many common generators) to your SNMP manager in a way that would otherwise be impossible.
Because the Modbus to SNMP Converter is built on the NetGuardian RTU platform, you get many of the same firmware and hardware benefits. Even though the Modbus Converter does not have support for traditional discrete alarm points or analog inputs, it has a proven industrial design with a variety of handy firmware features, such as notifications, analog thresholds, etc. It also includes a D-wire port, allowing you to daisy-chain up to 16 compact sensors to monitor temperature, humidity, airflow, and other important environmental levels.
