How This Application Works:

As you will see in this proposal, our solution will address the need to monitor the existing MNI Proteus Radio, Flashwave, Telemix SNMP based equipment over IP, and of course, the NetGuardian. Furthermore, you will get the functionality and user experience that only comes from a company that has widely deployed multi-generational software across multiple industries and countries. Your existing NetGuardian G5, as well as future NetGuardians and SNMP-based equipment, will be able to report to our T/Mon NOC Master Station.

This solution consists of both hardware and software elements. Dual Master Configuration will enable you to receive alarms from SNMP and P4 based equipment and notify key personnel of the event. In addition, the T/Mon NOC will be able to forward SNMP based alarms to another SNMP Manager.

The SNMP Trap Processor Software Module will give your T/Mon Master Station the ability to receive SNMP traps from network elements, such as your MNI Radios and Flashwave, and convert them to standardized T/Mon alarms so you will be able to view them. This will result in a very powerful SNMP manager because not only will your T/Mon be able to accept DCPx from DPS remotes, you will be able to monitor your other SNMP devices as well. This software module will support V1 as well as V2 devices and is very simple to use. Simply compile the MIB onto the T/Mon Master Station, select the rules for how you want to see those alarms and you've integrated those into the system.

The P4 software module will allow the T/Mon NOC to receive alarm messages from both the OMC and MD. In addition, it will have the ability to monitor and collect summary alarms from the existing radios. The RLOGIN feature will be enabled allowing technicians to remotely log in. The transport of the P4 will be serial, thus the NetGuardian G5 will be needed to provide a serial to IP interface to the T/Mon NOC.
