Whether you're new to our equipment or you've used it for years, DPS factory training is the best way to get more from your monitoring.
Reserve Your Seat TodayWhat will you get from DPS Factory Training? For an unbiased answer, we talked to the network managers and technicians who attended a previous DPS Factory Training Event.
Training you can put to immediate useThe factory training participants said the real value of DPS Factory Training is that you learn knowledge that will immediately help you set up your monitoring system more effectively.
"This is going to help me get through nearly all of my setup, even portions of the ASCII configuration," said Gary Evans, a network engineer from VisionNet. "I've learned more about the T/Mon system, and that's going to help me design our network better."
All of the participants agreed that turning up a network alarm monitoring system is a complicated procedure that shouldn't be done with only the aid of a user's manual. But after you've attended a factory training class, you don't have to figure things out on your own. The class covers everything you need to know about setting up a T/Mon Remote Alarm Monitoring System , installing and configuring NetGuardian and KDA remote units, using advanced features like paging and email notification, and how to troubleshoot your system yourself.
Learn from expert techniciansThe classes are taught by the people who work with clients on our systems daily - DPS Telecom's own tech support team. Our classroom instructors are some of the very same people who give expert technical advice over the phone. They have worked alongside our clients, performing custom installations and resolving technical problems. They have the real-world experience to understand the issues you face.
Being able to talk personally to the people who design, build and install DPS equipment makes a real difference, the participants said.
"DPS Factory Training answers a lot of questions that you just can't get answered over the phone," said Ed Hassell, VisionNet's NOC manager.
"The offline visits, the hallway conversations, the in-class conversations, the whole atmosphere of being here at DPS adds a lot - I recommend this class to NOC supervisors and installation technicians," Hassell said.
There's plenty of opportunities for these informal discussions. Every day at DPS Factory Training you'll attend lunch with your classmates and with DPS Telecom technicians and engineers. It's a fun way of getting to know your colleagues and your DPS support staff - and if you have individual monitoring needs, you can speak directly to the DPS engineers who will design your custom solution.
While you're in the Fresno area, take the time to enjoy the scenery and recreational activities of Fresno and Central California - including easy access to Yosemite National Park and Pacific coast beaches.
You don't just passively absorb information lecture-style at DPS Factory Training. The class is a real hands-on environment, where you have a chance to work with equipment yourself and learn monitoring tips and best practices from other industry professionals.
"DPS Factory Training is better than most training classes," said Richard Bell, alarm monitoring manager for UBTA-UBET. "At most training classes, they don't give you this much hands-on. You just have the instructor talking, and you're not able to follow along like we can do here. At DPS Factory Training, you can ask the questions you need to understand.
The participants said the class gave them a chance to familiarize themselves with DPS Telecom equipment in a no-risk environment. A learning experiment that brings down the classroom simulation lab doesn't risk bringing down a multimillion-dollar telecommunications network.
