Reserve Your Seat TodayThe Modular Alarm System allows you to configure large remote telemetry units for the exact capacity and functions you require. Many protocols are supported, including TL1. This system is great for central offices or sites with large quantities of discrete alarms (major, minor, environmental, security, etc.). The Modular Alarm System uses a unique Micro-LAN Channel for data communications between modules.
A communications subassembly for MAS modules that supports a 202T modem. Features include standard voice band operation and 1200 Baud data rate.
A subassembly for MAS modules that allows a whole shelf to communicate via a single RS232 connection, which in turns drives the Micro-LAN channel of the MAS shelf.
A subassembly for the MAS product line that allows the shelf to communicate via 4 wire RS422 or RS485. This interface accommodates transmission distances up to 4000 ft. Also can drive the Micro-LAN of the MAS shelf.
A subassembly for MAS modules that allows the shelf to function as dialup remote. Features include "AT" command set and TRIP compatibility.
A subassembly for MAS modules that must reside in each "slave" MAS card to connect it to the "master" MAS card via the Micro-LAN channel.
List of shelves
A 12 position 19" shelf that is used to mount MATs, CPMs, Fuse modules and other MAS cards. The shelf is pre-wired for the Micro-LAN channel, power and a fuse module. This unit comes with reversible ears and is suitable for 23" rack mounting.
Like the 12 Position shelf, but wider format accepts 2 more modules.
A 19" 3 position shelf that may be use house MATs, CPMs, and other MAS cards. Comes pre-wired for GROUND and the Micro-LAN communication channels. Reversible ears are also included for mounting in a 23" rack.
DPS will engineer and assemble for you any application specific shelf assembly. Application specific shelves include backplane wiring and connectorized back panel. Contact sales for a price quotation.
DPS offers you a full line of network monitoring choices with the Modular Alarm System and our array of fixed-size remotes, ranging in capacity from 8 to 256 alarm points, along with ASCII, TBOS and analog accessories. Add the T/MonXM & IAM for mediation & polling and the T/GrafX for display functions and you have one stop shopping for complete solutions.
The MAT is an alarm collection device that supports 32 ground closure alarm inputs, 4 form "C" control relays and 2 "bonus" alarm points that can detect -BATT and RS232 level alarms. The MAT is designed to work in concert with other MAS modules in a 400-type shelf to form an economical high density alarm solution.
The MAT is available in several voltages & models. Standard version : Uses non-latched relays. Latching Relay Version: Same as basic MAT with magnetically latched relays to maintain relay states in case of a power loss. Ideal for applications requiring one of two relays to be active, such as video switching or microwave application.
The CPM provides 16 control relay outputs and 8 alarm inputs for remotely activating external devices upon command from T/MonXM. The CPM supports momentary, latch/release, as well as select before operate commands. The CPM works in concert with other CPM s for applications that require large amounts of controls. The CPM is available in several voltages & models.
An alarm collection device that supports 32 ground closure alarm inputs.
Mediates TL1 Protocol between conventional alarms and TL1 OS or ASCII Terminal.
Collects portions of up to 8 TBOS ports and combines into one TBOS port and also converts TBOS data into one DCPF Port.
Combines up to 4 TL1 ports into one TL1 port.
TAC's work in pairs to transport TBOS and ASCII data on a common channel, reducing circuit requirements.
A fuse module that is designed to individually protect 13 cards in a 400 type shelf.
Mediates TL1 Protocol between conventional alarms and TL1 OS or ASCII Terminal. Uses Micro-LAN Channel to interface discrete alarms through MATs, control points through CPM s and TBOS ports through 8-Port TBOS Collectors. Combine with these modules in a 400-type shelf to make a versatile mediation package. Includes software for TL1 data base. Capacity is 4096 alarm points for 64 display model, 8192 alarms for 128 display model.
Collects portions of up to 8 TBOS ports and combines into one TBOS port. Also converts TBOS data into one DCPF Port. Each or the 8 ports can support up to 8 displays (512 points). Combining into one TBOS port is limited to a total of 8 displays, which can be remapped from the input port displays to different displays on the common port. Combining into one DCPF port can support the full complement of 8 displays (512 points) per input port, which can be remapped to 64 displays (4096 points) on the common port.
Combines up to 4 TL1 ports into one TL1 port. Observes delineating semi-colon at end of each TL1 data packet to store and stack incoming data. Incoming packets are stored in 64K buffer, then sent out common port one-at-a-time. Packets from interrogator side are sent out all ports.
TAC s work in pairs to transport TBOS and ASCII data on a common channel, reducing circuit requirements. A "Slave-End" TAC in a stand-alone package combines the TBOS and ASCII. A "Master-End" TAC splits the TBOS and ASCII data to two ports for distribution to a TBOS alarm system and an ASCII terminal. Locate several 400- Module TAC s in a central shelf, where lines from slave TAC s terminate.
A fuse module that is designed to individually protect 13 cards in a 400 type shelf. Unit contains a fuse alarm that will trigger a relay should any fuse blow. It also has a visual alarm indicator. Provides 2 separate input power bus lines.
